DU 2000 - How Does It Work?
DU 2000 & Beyond is a voluntary Undergraduate & Alumni giving program. This program is designed around annual and monthly donations. There are three main parts to the DU 2000 & Beyond program: Donations, Communication, and Recognition.
Donations
Assume that we have the following annual donations in place:
- 50 brothers donate $50 = $2,500
- 50 brothers donate $100 = $5,000
- 25 brothers donate $250 = $6,250
And now assume that we have the following monthly donations in place:
- 100 brothers donate $10 = $1,000 Monthly = $10,000 Annually
- 50 brothers donate $25 = $1,250 Monthly = $15,000 Annually
- 15 brothers donate $50 = $750 Monthly = $ 9,000 Annually
Assuming that within 3 to 5 years, we could get something close to the numbers listed above, that would give us an Annual Donation Intake of close to $50,000. The numbers listed above are based off of only getting 50% of our Alumni and Undergraduate Brothers to participate in this program.
What does this mean for us? This means that we will not longer need to put together a major capital campaign whenever emergencies strike. By having this program in place, we are guaranteeing the stability of our chapter at Western Illinois University.
Communication & Building Stronger Relationships
In order for this program to be successful, the Flying V newsletter will need to be published and sent out every quarter. This will ensure that we are keeping all of our Alumni Brothers informed of what is going on with their fellow Alumni Brothers as well as the undergraduate chapter. By sending out a quarterly newsletter and keeping our Alumni Brothers informed, we will be able to improve attendance at events and activities as well as reach out to those brothers that we have lost touch with.
Note: Quarterly newsletters will be sent out once the program has at least 25 brothers signed up.
