     The Alumni Chapter and Alumni Corporation of the Western Illinois Chapter of Delta Upsilon cordially invite all alumni of Delta Upsilon to celebrate our 35th Anniversary on campus Friday April 24th through Sunday April 26th, 2009.  The weekend will include many activities for alumni, their guests and the undergraduate members.  The Alumni Banquet will be the featured event, and will take place on Saturday April 25th beginning at 5:30pm in the Lamoine Room of the University Union.  The evening will include guest speakers, dinner, and awards presentations.  Please check wiudu.com or contact Shawn Wochner (wiudualumni at hotmail.com) for more information.

     Good afternoon!  As classes began on the campus of Western Illinois University Monday morning, it marked the 35th Anniversary of Delta Upsilon on campus.  In a world filled with war, natural disasters, and political campaigns, this is a time for our fraternity to celebrate! 
     As part of our celebration, we have several events planned that I would like to make you aware of.  The first of these events is our fall undergraduate initiation ceremony.  Initiation will take place on Sunday September 7th, 2008 at 1pm in the University Union.  Brother Dave Maguire will preside over the ceremony where the fraternity will formally welcome 6 new brothers.  
     Another event on the docket for the fall semester is the universities annual Homecoming festivities.  This year’s Homecoming will take place October 17th – 19th, where Western Illinois will take on Indiana State University.  The undergraduate chapter will be hosting several events such as an alumni reception and tailgating.   WIU is sponsoring an all alumni social at the Alumni House on Friday the 17th from 5:00 – 10:00pm.  Then on Saturday, they will have a continental breakfast beginning at 9:00am.  The parade will roll out of the square beginning at 10:30am.  The undergrads will host tailgating beginning at 12:00pm and from there we will venture from the “pit” to Hanson Field for the game.  There will be more information to follow once we get closer to the event.
     Thank you for continued support for our brotherhood!  I personally look forward to seeing (or meeting) you in Macomb at one of our events this year.  Be proud of your membership in our fraternity, as it truly does extend beyond your years at Western Illinois University.
